Friends of Faringdon welcome anyone who is interested in the Folly and the Woodland to become a friend.

In addition to the Friends, many people and organisations sponsor or support the the work of the Folly Trust. They are listed on the Sponsors and supporters page

The main support provided by the friends is in providing stewards for tower open days

Some Friends are resource for the ongoing maintenance and management of the tower and woodland.
The Friends of Faringdon Folly is chaired by Eddie Williams

Friends of the Folly:
· Ensure the tower and the woodland are maintained
· Raise awareness in the local community and beyond
· Gather and display historical information about the Folly
· Develop www.faringdonfolly.org.uk
· Decorate the rooms and replace the furniture

Ideas for the future include:
· Educational packs for local schools
· Conservation or promotion of wildlife and biological diversity
. Promote the woodland as an outdoor venue 
· Promote Folly Hill as a viewpoint
· Illuminate the Tower more frequently to make it more visible for all
· Produce a range of leaflets and gifts
